The MolTag Closing Conference

02.10.2023

Two days full of lectures, presentations, scientific discussions and a happy reunion as our photos show!

Approved by the FWF in 2010, started in March 2011, the DK MolTag is now the oldest ongoing DK at the University of Vienna. At the end of the phase-out phase in March 2024, the interdisciplinary collaboration with PIs from 4 scientific institutions will have trained over 70 international doctoral students.

Our closing event took place in September 2023 with over 80 guests, some of whom came directly from the USA, India and various countries throughout Europe. It was a highly interesting scientific event, a passionate presentation and discussion of the PhD students' ongoing projects and a warm reunion of former colleagues with each other and their supervisors, which created a unique atmosphere.
Special thanks also to the invited key note speakers Stéphanie Baulac (Paris), Robin Bon (Leeds), Lynette Daws (Texas) and Marina Kasimova (Copenhagen) and to the scientific talks by MolTag Alumni. Special thank also to our Scientific Advisory Board with Chris Ahern, Delia Belelli, Thierry Langer and Peter Nussbaumer and certainly to the MolTag Speaker Gerhard Ecker and the MolTag faculty members!

In the poster session, the posters of Ralph Gradisch (MedUni Wien), Lena Schwarz (ISTA), Nina Kastner (MedUni Wien) and Michael Netzer (University of Vienna) were rated particularly well and were awarded a Best Poster Award!

See the photos of the event, special thanks to our photographer Malena Brenek!
