Congrats to Aleksandra's 1st 1st author paper!

18.08.2022

In this joint MolTag paper, the authors identified a so far undescribed function of β-subunit homomers as proton-gated anion channels.

Beta subunits of GABAA receptors are unexpectedly shown to form homomeric proton gated ion channels attributable to a single histidine residue.

This paper is a joint collaboration of 3 MolTag groups!

We congratulate the authors!
